Lorenzo Brown Signs with Hapoel!

Hapoel “Midtown” Jerusalem Basketball Club is pleased to announce the signing of American-Spanish guard Lorenzo Brown (36, 1.96m). Brown joins on loan from Milan until the end of the season.

Brown brings extensive experience at the highest levels, including spells in the NBA and European basketball. He was selected 52nd overall by Minnesota in the 2013 NBA Draft and played for Philadelphia, Minnesota, Phoenix and Toronto over five seasons. During that time, he also played in the NBA Development League.

Brown later played in China before beginning his European basketball career in 2019. Since then, he has established himself as one of the EuroLeague’s leading guards, with spells at Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, Fenerbahçe, UNICS Kazan, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Panathinaikos and, most recently, Milan last season.

In the summer of 2022, Brown was a key player on Spain’s EuroBasket-winning team and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Lorenzo Brown: “I’m happy to join Hapoel and excited to begin this new, challenging and intriguing chapter in my career. I’m well aware of the club’s proud tradition, its strength and the fans’ unique passion, and I understand the responsibility that comes with joining this team. I’ll do everything I can to contribute and help the team achieve its goals.”

Head coach Saša Obradovi?: “Lorenzo is a player with proven quality at the highest levels of basketball. He brings tremendous experience, a strong understanding of the game and the ability to create opportunities both for himself and for those around him. I believe his experience and leadership can make a significant difference for us. We’re delighted to welcome him and look forward to seeing him on the court with us.”
