Cassius Winston Signed In Hapoel!

Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem is exciting to announce the signing of guard Cassius Winston for the upcoming season.
Winston (27, 6'1") is known as an excellent playmaker and one of the best point guards in Michigan State history, where he holds the school’s all-time assist record with 890. In his senior year, he posted impressive averages of 18.6 points, 5.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and 43% from three. He was selected in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft by Oklahoma City and was traded to Washington, where he played alongside Deni Avdija and appeared in 29 NBA games.

He began his European career with Bayern Munich, standing out with 11 points and 3.4 assists in 29 EuroLeague games, and added 14.1 points, 3.1 assists, and 40% from three in the German BBL. In 2023, he joined Tofa? Bursa, where he continued to shine, averaging over 14.5 points per game in both the Basketball Champions League and the Turkish League. At Tofa?, Winston played alongside Austin Wiley and played a key role in feeding the center, who went on to be named MVP of the Turkish League that season.

Last season, Winston played for Reggio Emilia in Italy, where he continued to deliver strong numbers with 15.9 points and 5.1 assists per game. Throughout his career – which also includes 55 games in the G League – Winston has maintained excellent free-throw shooting, peaking at 93% during his time with Tofa?.
