One of the most entertaining and unpredictable games of the league season ended on Saturday night with a hard-fought 85:79 win for Hapoel over Holon at Toto Arena in Round 15. The game featured multiple momentum swings and stayed close throughout, with a strong final minute of the second quarter giving Hapoel a slim halftime lead despite Holon’s barrage of three-pointers.
Former Hapoel guard Jalen Adams and Holon’s backcourt continued to fire from deep in the third quarter, building a 70:64 lead early in the fourth. But from that point on, as they’ve done several times this season, Yonatan Alon’s squad locked in defensively, going on a 17:1 run and holding Holon without a field goal for seven minutes to secure the victory.

Game Flow:
Hapoel started strong defensively, keeping Holon scoreless for nearly three minutes and jumping to a 6:0 lead. Holon responded with a flurry of three-pointers – five in the first quarter alone – and the opening period ended in a 22:22 tie. The second quarter remained tight, with both teams exchanging blows. A late burst led by Ziv, Smith, and Carrington gave the visitors a 51:45 edge at the break.

Holon opened the second half with more threes from Mike Davis and Jaylen Adams, building a small lead. But Jared Harper helped bring Hapoel back within striking distance at the end of the third quarter, 64:62.

In the fourth, Netanel Artzi hit back-to-back threes for Holon, but Hapoel responded. Chris Johnson, Jeremy Morgan, and Gabi Chachashvili led a defensive charge, capped by a Tarik Phillip corner triple that gave Hapoel a double-digit lead, 81:71. Holon finally broke their drought with a bucket from Adams, and Davis cut the lead to six, but clutch free throws from Carrington sealed the win.
