Hapoel aims to hold onto the second place they’ve secured for most of the first round. After two recent losses to Valencia and Lietkabelis, their record now matches that of Ljubljana. Despite the second consecutive defeat, Jared Harper continues to show strong form, scoring 16 and 24 points in those losses. Another key contributor is Khadeen Carrington, who led Hapoel’s scoring with 17 points in the loss to Valencia and sparked the second-half run. Against Lietkabelis, he kept Hapoel in the game during the second quarter and finished with 14 points.
Their opponent, near the bottom of the standings with nine losses and just two wins, hasn’t given up and is fighting to secure a spot among the top six by the end of the regular season. In the previous round, they faced league leader Valencia and lost by a respectable single-digit margin, 86-78, with a defensive effort that held the Spanish side 9 points below their average.

Hamburg is located not far from Bremen, home of the Werder Bremen soccer team. German fans have a long-standing friendship with Hapoel’s red supporters, especially through Hersh z”l, who was close to Werder Bremen fans. During Hersh's captivity, German supporters organized protests, painted stadiums with signs and displays demanding his release and the return of all captives home.
