Tonight: Hapoel visits Valencia

With ten straight wins in all competitions, Hapoel opens the second round of the EuroCup regular season tonight, visiting Valencia in Spain at 21:45 (Israel time), aiming to improve its position in the race for first place in Group B.

Hapoel ended the previous round with a 7-2 record, one of the losses coming against tonight’s Spanish opponent. Despite playing away from home and dealing with an unusual streak of injuries, the Reds rose to the occasion and kept winning, securing second place, two games behind Bourg.
Jared Harper has been the team’s standout, earning EuroCup MVP of the round honors three (!) times, while averaging an eye-popping 23.1 points (EuroCup leader) and 5.8 assists per game.
Valencia, who missed one game due to massive floods in the city, remains unbeaten at 8-0. They’ve shown tremendous offensive firepower, scoring over 100 in five of their games - although Hapoel held them 16 points below their average in their last encounter.
One key matchup will be under the basket, where Matt Costello (13.2 PPG, 2.5 defensive RPG) faces off against Gabi Chachashvili, who has stepped up recently and averages 3.2 defensive rebounds per game. The battle for rebounds and second-chance points could prove decisive.
