Only three days after the final of the State Cup, Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Hapoel met again this evening (Sunday) at the Menorah Mitvathim Hall. The yellow-blues entered the game this time from the first moment, won the second quarter and the third quarter with a difference and the same result of 17:27 and came back to win with 71:103.

Hapoel arrived without home owner Speedy Smith, and his absence was noticeable both in attack and defense. The new trophy holder stayed close for less than half, before the yellows ran away. Jacory Williams played with a lot of energy and enthusiasm every moment on the floor, but the rest of his teammates were a little tired. The Reds lost a chance to advance to third place, and on Wednesday they will host Holon in a game that will decide who will enjoy the home advantage in the series between them.

Nimrod Levi stopped a 0:14 run by shooting a penalty after a technicality for Thomason, the latter made up for it with a good penetration in the next move - but Williams interrupted the form of field baskets in red with a nice hook, 63:38. Thomason from the line and Nebo with a dunk brought the yellows closer to the 30 difference, Williams continued to do his part in the red attack and Noam Dovrat with the first basket brought it down to 69:44. Levi scored his team's fourth three-pointer, but Williams went to the bench with three fouls and Thomason and Sorkin led another run, 49:77.
