After an exciting and tight game throughout, Hapoel lost tonight (Wed) 95:92 to Spanish Tenerife. On the first day of the week, the Reds will play an away game at Yad Eliyahu against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Quarter 3
Despite a hesitant start in which the Spaniards managed to significantly increase their advantage, Hapoel began to bite little by little and get back into the game. Nimrod Levi with an important three-pointer, and later with a basket from a second chance, sent Chos Vidorta and his apprentices to a timeout, from which the Spaniards returned with a basket. The difference decreased to a single position before a battle of threes between the teams began, mainly under the command of Chris Johnson when at the end of the quarter, 66:60 for the team from Spain.

Quarter 4
Hapoel started the last quarter of the game much better, washing the field on the offensive side and enjoying some mistakes and fouls by Tenerife on the other side. Hapoel managed to reduce the gap mainly with the help of Kadin Carrington who also scored the basket that turned the result into a Jerusalem point advantage. Tenerife regained the lead until Speedy Smith's 3-pointer tied the score once again. The final minutes were all in high spirits with exceptional offensive quality from both teams and when the advantage changed hands. The game seemed to be over when the score showed a 6 difference for Tenerife with a ball in their possession with less than a minute to go, but an excellent defensive move and a three-pointer by Chris Johnson restored hope to Jerusalem. With a last position for Hapoel, the Reds had already lost the ball, managed to regain it within a second and score a tremendous three-pointer with the help of Levi Randolph, who leaves 6 seconds with a point for Tenerife and their ball. All this was not enough for Hapoel and at the end of the game - 95:92 for the Spaniards.
