February Player of the Month: Jacorey Williams

?When he came up to play against Hapoel Be'er Sheva/Dimona sometime in January, it took Jacorey Williams 5 minutes to score his first points in the Hapoel Jerusalem uniform. Even then, it was possible to feel the potential of the team together with Jacorey once he acclimatized. The 18 minutes he got in that game was enough for him to acclimatize and since then, in all five games he participated in in February, Williams proved his necessity to the team and showed exactly what the Reds were aiming for when they signed him as a reinforcement to the front line.

Williams arrived on the standard of adding strength to the running and quality team that exists in the capital. His solid roll, with an average of 22 minutes, was quite enough for him to provide excellent averages of 10.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, with a stable percentage of 65% from the field. All these are just the visible statistics, without talking about the energy, enthusiasm, defense and fight that Jacorey gives every minute on the field and help the operator in every professional aspect.

 

Jacorey's best game this month was the home game against Ness Ziona in which Hapoel won 76:70. In that game, Jacorey excelled with 21 points on a monstrous percentage of 9-14 from the field (64%). Williams added 8 rebounds and reached an efficiency rating of 24. So far, Williams' only game in Europe was the massive 85:61 win over Tenerife in which Jacorey contributed with 8 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Tomorrow, Hapoel and Jacorey meet the same Tenerife once again, with Williams wanting to continue with the ability even into the month of March.
