Hapoel landed in Milan yesterday for two preseason games against the Italian teams Brescia and Armani Milan, and got off to a great start by defeating Brescia 95-82. Playing for the white team is Maurice N'dour, who played for Hapoel last year.
Hapoel will play against Armani Milan on Sunday afternoon in the second of their preseason games in Italy.
The Italian team in white started the game with four consecutive points, with Speedy Smith being the first to score for Hapoel, making the score 2-4 in favor of the Italians. Gabi Chachashvili added 2 more points, and Speedy Smith tied the score at 6-6. The first quarter remained tight, ending with a 20-17 lead for the red team. The second quarter began with 2 points from Justin Smith, but two white three-pointers put the score at 22-23 for the Italians. Or Cornelius, Khadin Carrington, and Jared Harper scored, and Austin Wiley added another point from the free-throw line, making the halftime score 34-33 in favor of Hapoel.

At this stage, Carrington and Justin Smith started heating up, and together with Cbachashvili, they extended the lead to 58-49 for Jerusalem, with Jared Harper setting the end of the quarter score at 68-56 for the red team. At the beginning of the final quarter, Brescia tried to close the gap, reducing it to just 6 points, but Hapoel proved their quality, with Justin Smith scoring a dunk to make it 91-73. He was joined by 2 points from Or Cornelius and 2 more from Justin Smith, bringing the score to 95-75 and extending the lead to 20 points, beyond which the Italians could not recover.
