After 34 days, more than a month, without a home game - Hapoel returned this evening (Monday) to Pais Arena in Jerusalem and beat Ironi Ness Ziona 76:70. Jacorey Williams (21 points) excelled on both sides of the court and was the X factor on the way to the important victory of the Reds. This coming Friday, Hapoel will play against Maccabi Tel Aviv at the Arena, for a big game on Friday at noon.

Home sweet home

Before the game, Hapoel noted the entry of Oz Blayzer into the list of 100 goals of the Winner Basket League, who received the trophy from Ari Steinberg, the chairman of the League. In addition, Hapoel honored Itay Segev, the captain of the team last year, who is returning to the arena for the first time and this time as a Ness Ziona player.

Course of the game
1st Quarter
Hapoel opens the game with Speedy Smith, Or Cornelius, Levi Randolph, Chris Johnson and Gabi Chachashvili. Ness Ziona started the game well and went up to a quick 9:0. Speedy Smith stopped the orange run with a 3-pointer, followed immediately by Chris Johnson, as the laborer manages to stop and slow down the opponent's pack with Yovel Zoosom and Jacorey Williams coming in to tighten the defense. Speedy continued to control the pace while on the other side Ness Ziona sews three after three with Isaiah Whitehead who registers 9 points only in the first quarter, giving Ness Ziona a similar lead. Lemar slightly reduced them and 22:16 to Nes Ziona at the end of the first quarter.

Speedy. He's the man
2nd Quarter
Hapoel started the second quarter more aggressively with "Mr Aggressiveness" - Jacorey Williams who forced Elad Hassin to take a timeout with the difference dropping to 2 points. The oranges came back from the timeout sharper and restored the advantage to what it was. Ness Ziona's regional defense also did not contribute to the offensive flow of the Jerusalemites, who fell behind by two digits and went to a timeout by Coach Cantzouris, from which they returned with a better quality defense and excellent offensive moves by Chris Johnson and Jacorey. At the end of the quarter - 42:32 for the oranges.

3rd Quarter
Levi Randolph was the one who started the third quarter sharp, scoring from everywhere and being around every rebound that falls. Hapoel, together with a pressing and tough defense, managed to reduce the advantage to only one position. Brynton Lemar also entered the game properly and together with a 3-pointer by Levi gave Hapoel the lead after a long time and sent Ness Ziona to a timeout. Elad Hassin's time-out calmed the game down a bit as both teams struggle to find the way to the ring and are stuck for a long time on the same score. At the end of the half, small 52:51 to Ness Ziona.

Levi is EVERYWHERE
4th Quarter
Chris Johnson took on the task of turning the lead around and with a typical basket, with a lot of fighting put the lead back on the red side. Ness Ziona persisted and even came close to turning the advantage around, but Jacorey Williams was Hapoel's offensive barometer under the baskets, with every attack going through him. The offensive stagnation that characterized the quarter was somewhat broken on a three-pointer by Or Cornelius and the tie immediately returned with Isaiah Whitehead. In the last 3 minutes, Hapoel increased the pace and Jacori Williams together with Liwai Randolph instantly increased the advantage to 6 points. The game progressed slowly and at the end - 76:70 for Hapoel.
