The Hapoel family is praying for their loved ones
The war brings with it bad news about Hapoel fans killed, kidnapped and injured
The difficult war in which the State of Israel is engaged brings with it, to our great regret, reports of hundreds of dead, wounded, kidnapped, and missing, including quite a few people who are connected to the Hapoel with every fiber of their being. Hapoel prays for the safety of all the injured and missing and shares in the heavy sorrow of the hundreds of families who are facing the worst of all.
We mourn the death of Amir Naim, a soldier in Kibbutz Erez's standby unit who saved human lives before giving up his life. Amir, a Hapoel fan, was 27 years old at the time of his death. He left behind a wife, Shahar, his parents, Orna and Asher, and two brothers, Moran and Dekal. May the memory of Amir be blessed.
The Hapoel family expresses its deep sorrow and pain over the murder of Orli and David Schwartzman, who were murdered by terrorists in their home in Kfar Aza. Hapoel sends its sincere condolences and support to Ilai, the son of Orli and David and a devoted fan of the team. May their memory be blessed.
The Hapoel family is pained and mourns the death of Aviv Baram, one of the most devoted and devout Hapoel fans. Aviv, a resident of Kfar Aza, sacrificed his life and fought bravely while protecting his home as a soldier in the standby unit. Aviv, 33 years old at the time of his death, left behind a wife, Khali, and two children: Omar, who is 4.5 years old, and Rani, who is a year and a half old. May his memory be blessed.
We are shocked and saddened by the death of the team's fan, Sgt. Tomer Barak, a soldier of Golani's 13th Battalion who died a heroic death in the Battle of Nahal Oz. Tomer left behind his parents, Itay and Sharon, and a younger brother, Tal. Tomer was 20 years old when he fell. Hapoel stands by the dear Barak family in their most difficult hour. May the memory of Tomer be blessed.
We pray for the safety of Ofir Engel, the son of Sharon and Yoav and the grandson of the beloved Yosef "Joha" Engel, who is known to every Hapoel fan. Ofir visited his girlfriend in Kibbutz Be'eri and was kidnapped by terrorists in the Gaza Strip.
We also pray for the safety of Hersh Goldberg-Pollin, a devoted fan of ours who has been missing since Saturday and may have been kidnapped in Gaza. Anyone who knows anything about his whereabouts is asked to contact him by phone at 058-589-2000.
Sergeant Gilad Mizrahi, a Hapoel fan, fought bravely against the terrorists in a difficult battle in Kibbutz Ra'im, was injured, and was taken to Soroka Hospital. The Hapoel family prays for his safety.
The Hapoel family sends wishes for a speedy recovery and easy rehabilitation to Yoav Klein, son of Yifa and Abinoam. Yoav played in Hapoel's youth department and is a fan of the team. He was injured in the battle of Zikim, arrived at the hospital in serious condition, and is currently in the midst of a long recovery and rehabilitation process.
